Plaza Heneral Santos

The Front view of Plaza Heneral Santos.

This is been the logo of General Santos City

General Paulino Santos (June 22, 1890 – August 29, 1945) was an exceptional military officer who became the Commanding General of the Philippine Army from May 6 to December 31, 1936. Upon his retirement, he served as a civilian administrator under President Manuel L. Quezon.
Paulino Santos' record as an officer was one of distinctive achievements. As a soldier, Santos served in the Lanao campaign in 1916, where he sustained wounds from a Moro spear, and in the Bayang Cotta campaign in 1917, where he sustained a near fatal wound at the back of his head after he and his men performed a suicidal mission in which they had to place ladders beside the fortified cottas. It was in the latter campaign that he demonstrated extraordinary courage and leadership. Under his term, he established six settlements in South Cotabato namely Koronadal, Banga, Tupi, Tampakan, Polomolok, and Rajah Buayan , thus, increasing Christian population in the region. as a tribute to his legacy in the area, the municipality of Buayan (formerly Dadiangas) was renamed General Santos City, which, by virtue of Republic Act No. 5412 signed on July 8, 1968, was declared a city. The grave and monument of Gen. Paulino Santos was unveiled infront of it's City Hall on September 5, 1981 in General Santos City, South Cotabato.

This is the appearance of Plaza Heneral Santos located at the heart of the city. This is considered to be the most visited spot of the students, lovers and people who just want to stroll. It is surrounded by churches, schools, food chains, and City Hall. Sometimes, this place is being used by the students to have practice most likely dancing and also you can chat with your friends here and you can also have a date with your suitor, boyfriend or girlfriend also even your family after going to church or to have an intimate bonding with them. This is really the best place.

At night you will be enjoying seeing the lights and the humid of the place and you can also listen to musics being offered by the plaza no need to bring any music player.

Sarangani Highlands in Gensan

Sarangani Highlands is located on a hilltop overlooking Sarangani Bay. It has an awesome view of both the sea, downtown Gensan and majestic Mt. Parker and Mt. Matutum on a clear day.
In 2006, the owners saw the property and bought it because of the splendid view on a hilltop. The garage of Labella Hospital was full of landscaping materials like boulders, plants and wood collections. One of the owners urged the two doctors, who loves landscaping so much,to begin putting indigenous structures and start landscaping the place. As they continued to beautify the place with their own ideas of landscaping and architectural design, residents of General Santos City frequent the place to relax. Hence, the three owners, decided to open the restaurant, named it Sarangani Highlands Garden, named after Sarangani Bay, on July 8, 2007.
While in Sarangani Highlands, you get really closer to nature. It takes great pride in its beautiful landscaping. Lush plants, flowers and a neatly trimmed lawn welcome you upon entering the garden.
You will surely forget all your troubles when you breathe in the fresh air and fill your senses with the spectacular view.
Aside from the regular dining service, Sarangani Highlands now has a hotel and function areas, both air-conditioned and al-fresco, that can accommodate guests for private parties, meetings and other company activities.

The Lemlunay Dive Resort is a countryside getaway that will take your breath away, with its rustic ambience, relaxing surroundings, lovingly-prepared cuisine, personalized service… all encompassed by an expansive sea of unspoilt blue.

Its Summer Time!

I spent a day and a moment of my summer break just to relax from school stuffs. Since my peers decided to visit Gumasa, I joined in. But actually at first I really don't want to go out but my friends forced me with all their force just to make me say "OK, I'll be with you".

For people who prefer peaceful ambience and wonderful place I'd suggest you to visit Gumasa.

Gumasa is a barangay in Glan, Sarangani Province. And is known widely for their white sand beaches.

Things to consider to do in Gumasa Beach:

Take Photographs. This is the best way to capture every moment you have in Gumasa.

Stroll around the place. Discover everything around the place and be wowed. It's a good relaxation anyway.

Play. Playing is one of the best thing to do in the beach like volleyball and frisbee, you'd definitely indulge physical activities in Gumasa.

Dive into the waters. Splash into the waters of Gumasa.

Eat. Having an initimate conversation while eating is the best way to make the conversation longer and funnier

Visit the small caves. Small caves meet you at the edge. It's quite far but you'll enjoy every single step you take.
Meet people. Before you go home it's really nice to meet new people. Talk with them
